We are thrilled to share that SotaTek has officially become a member of the Vietnam-Japan Digital Transformation Association (在日ベトナムDX協会 - VADX Japan). This significant development represents a new milestone in fostering cooperation in the digital technology sector between Vietnam and Japan, opening up avenues for innovation and economic growth for both nations.

What is VADX Japan?

VADX Japan was established with the mission of promoting strategic cooperation in digital technology and contributing to the digital transformation process between Vietnam and Japan. The association aims to address the significant demand for software development in Japan, which is estimated at 30 billion USD per year. Currently, Vietnamese enterprises meet only about 6-7% of this market share, creating immense growth potential.

The association was founded with the goal of increasing the total revenue of Vietnamese technology enterprises in Japan to 1 billion USD by 2025 and 7 billion USD by 2033. It is expected to become a key strategic bridge, facilitating innovation, technology transfer, research, development, and the application of advanced digital technologies.

VADX Japan is also committed to enhancing the competitiveness of its members and Vietnamese technology enterprises in Japan by promoting investment and fostering collaborations with Japanese companies, governments, and organizations. Through this, VADX Japan seeks to support the growing demand for highly skilled engineers in Japan, addressing the estimated labor shortage of 789,000 workers by 2030, particularly in new technology fields such as Cloud, Big Data, AI, Blockchain, and VR/XR.

The official launch event of VADX Japan was attended by Pham Quang Hieu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Japan, Consul Nguyen Duc Minh, and representatives from the Vietnamese Ministries of Science and Technology, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, and Education and Training. The event also saw participation from the Chairman of the VINASA Founding Council, along with a wide range of industry leaders, including representatives from FPT Japan, RikkeiSoft Japan, VTI, Mirabo Global, and many others. This broad participation reflects the strong commitment to advancing digital transformation and collaboration between the two nations.
