Bridge Software Engineer (Non-tech)

Job Description
  • Analyze the requirements, create and maintain project documentation.
  • Directly communicate with clients using Japanese via online meetings, email, slack channels (or other chat tools) to meet the requirements.
  • Report the progress of work status as well as any difficulties to the clients daily and/or weekly.
  • Actively voice out any ideas or solutions for the issues during the progress in order to enhance the quality and results of the project.
  • Support Project Manager in managing members, tasks, and project timeline when needed.
  • Support the quality assurance activities to ensure that the final product meets client expectations.
  • Design technical solutions with/without Technical Leader.
  • Review the design of each task, including how to code if needed.
  • Support in resolving technical issues, optimize system performance.
Requirements

Must have

  • Good at Japanese for 4 comprehension skills (Japanese skill at least N3 or equivalent).
  • Leadership potential, high responsibility, good teamwork spirit.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language and/or related frameworks, such as: Java, Python, C#, NodeJS, ReactJS, AngularJS, etc...
  • Understanding of software architectures and databases.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Prefer to have

  • Understanding about Japanese culture and Japanese working style.
  • Prefer candidates with work experience or study in Japan.
  • Experience involved in medium to big projects.
  • Good at English.
  • Communication skills: Ability to listen, convey information clearly and coherently.
  • Teamwork skills: Able to work independently and effectively collaborate in a team.
  • Time management skills: Work efficiently under high pressure.
  • Have knowledge in some areas, such as E-commerce, Healthcare, E-learning, AI, Blockchain...
  • Experience in using design and UML drawing tools like Figma, Draw.io.
  • Able to write high-level design documents (basic design, external design), system integration.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS.
  • Preferred candidates with pre sales experience.
